Pay it Forward: Linda Masad
Pay It Forward - Random Acts of Kindness
Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying it to others instead of to the original benefactor. The concept is old, but the phrase may have been coined by Lily Hardy Hammond in her 1916 book In the Garden of Delight.
Winter of 2014, Investor''s Advantage gave $50.00 gift cards to random clients to pay it forward in their communities to those who were in need. Here is one of those touching stories that they would like to share with you. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as they enjoyed being a part of these random acts of kindness.
Name of Client: Linda Masad
Client was able to help: The less fortunate – Homeless
A little extra help was needed because: At Westminster Presbyterian Church off Lakeview Canyon Road in Westlake there was an increase in the number of homeless people who receive food from Linda and sleep at the church during the very cold nights. It went from 12 to 30 people then up to 70. Linda always provides a well-balanced meal and her $50.00 pay it forward gift card helped make two huge restaurant style casseroles, green salad with every vegetable and beans (to give plenty of yum factor), hot vegetables, bread and butter and whole milk. Plus, Doan’s Bakery in Woodland Hills was gracious to donate yummy desserts. As Linda says, “Let them enjoy a good meal! Thank you Investor’s Advantage for helping me to do just that!”
We hope that this story has encouraged you to make a difference in this world and pay it forward to someone or someplace that could use a random act of kindness. It is our pleasure to be a co-partner with you.
Thank you for choosing Investor’s Advantage.
