Investor’s Advantage in Westlake Village, California does not take the same old Investment Approach as many companies in the “Financial Planning” industry. We work based on statistical analyses that relate to YOUR SPECIFIC financial position within the scope of the ENTIRE global financial marketplace. We do not just represent one company with one line of, “Financial Products”. We focus on " Wealth Management and Retirement Planning” in the true sense of the words. While there are over 3,000 local financial advisors with many different opinions, not all firms in the Conejo Valley pay for independent research. Our founder John Grace has paid to be a member of the HS Dent network for over 10 years. This independent research is one of the cornerstones of our Investment Strategy that helps investors see the larger picture and make appropriate, if not more informed decisions. This independent research has been used with investors in the workshops that the President of our firm conducts.
John L. Grace is President of Investor’s Advantage Corp in Westlake Village CA which has been helping investors since 1979 manage wealth and prepare for a better future in spite of the unexpected events produced by God and by man. John is a Registered Principal with National Planning Corp, a national independent brokerage firm headquartered in El Segundo, CA. In 1999 John Grace became Master Certified and a Charter Member with the H S Dent Advisor’s Network. He maintains his membership by attending conferences annually and conference calls monthly. “Master Certified” references those who pay a fee to learn about various economic trends and have demonstrated by passing tests the ability to effectively answer questions related to research. This alone does not qualify a financial professional to give investment advice.
“With over 30 years of experience in the securities I feel qualified to offer my apology for 3 of the things that we (the community of Financial Advisors) do; 1) how complicated we make things appear, 2) the reliance on jargon that most people won’t understand, and 3) the excessive emphasis we place on investment vehicle selection. First and foremost, we should be helping investors answer two questions; how much money will be needed to avoid running out of money before running out of time and how investment risk may be better managed.”
John, an Eagle Scout, attended Carleton College in Minnesota, is a former President and Trustee of the Ventura County Council of the Boy Scouts of America, former Board Member and Finance Committee Member of the El Camino College Foundation in Torrance, former Trustee of the California Lutheran Educational Foundation at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, a Charter Member of the American Heart Association Ventura County Chapter, past Executive Board Member of the Westlake Village Chamber of Commerce, and Past President of the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise.
